The French Glacier
The first viewpoint along the French Valley is about a 45 minute to one hour hike up a steep, rocky and poorly maintained trail. It's a popular spot to sit down and enjoy a break for lunch. On the west side you see this view of the French Glacier. On the east side you see the horns. To the south, Lago Nordenskold. You have the option of continuing to a much higher viewpoint several hours further along the trail, but you would need to devote the entire day in the French Valley and stay at a nearby camp.
This is a six shot panorama.
