Sulphur Skyline - Ashlar Ridge
As far as 700 metre elevation gains go, Sulfur Skyline was relatively easy. Not a particuarly interesting hike up among the trees with nothing of any interest to see, but once you get beyond the treeline, it is impressive. You get a full view of Ashlar Ridge, the landmark chain of bisected mountains that greet you at the eastern gates of Jasper National Park. On the other side is Fiddle River (the actual river, not the restraunt!). And there are squirrels - expecting to be fed. Some visitors to the park must be teaching bad habits.
