Maligne Road is a wonderful drive between the Maligne and Queen Elizabeth Range Mountains in Jasper. It's a well travelled wildlife coordidor and a trip through the valley usually involves seeing bears, sheep, goats, or the rare caribou. I often try not to stop and give the wildlife space - but on this day it was not very busy. These two young sheep were with their parents at the south end of Medicine Lake. A few weeks following these photos there was a major forest fire in the Maligne Valley resulting in closure of the road and evacuation of all the backcountry camping along Maligne Lake, Jacques Lake and the Skyline trail.
