I finally caught my breath! Stopped panting! The four kilometre long climb through the Valley of A Thousand Falls has just ended and I was backpacking on relatively flat trail. As you emerge from the Valley, you reach Emperor Falls campground, which seems nice and quiet … well except for the sound of white water! After a little bit more hiking, a glacier emerges. My first thought was that Berg Glacier is much smaller than it looks in pictures. It's not Berg. It's the smaller Mist Glacier that you first see as you hike along a rocky ridge above the slithering pathways formed by the Robson River coming out of Berg Lake. It's easy once you get here. Just enjoy the walk by the glaciers!
