Berg Glacier and Mount Robson
This is the classic view of Berg Glacier flowing into Berg Lake down the northern face of Mount Robson. After arriving at Berg Lake and setting up my campsite, I hiked (climbed) up Toboggan Falls to hike the Hargreaves Glacier and Mumm Basin Trails. This view is from near the peak of the Mumm Basin Trail above the tree-line, 500 metres above the lake. I understand it is somewhat unusual to see the peak of Mount Robson and in the three days I was there, I just saw it briefly one morning. (I have a photo of Robson Glacier with the peak clear of cloud.) On the left side of the photo, the flow from the Robson Glacier and River seems to go over an alluvial flat area to create the lake. The lake, after being fed by two more glaciers, trickles out on the right through more flats and down to the Valley of a Thousand Falls following the Berg Lake Trail. The smaller glacier on the right is called Mist Glacier. Rearguard Mountain is to the left.
