Finally a clear night on the West Coast Trail. Well, for a little while. We had a relatively clear sky but then it clouded over soon after the sun set. The moon was almost full! We camped at high tide on Thrasher Cove's Beach - probalby not much more than three metres from the water. That is loud! A small campfire from the far side of the beach is sending its smokey driftwood scent in the air. It was a nice evening to wrap up the West Coast Trail Trek. Socks and boots drying (sort of ) by the fire. No rain - and being thankful for so little rain throughout the trip. (That being said, I.m pretty sure I heard a little bit of rain overnight and woke up to some wet.) We also woke up to some odd footprints on the fresh beach the next morning. Mink. Who knew!
