Sunset over the Grand Canyon from Pima Point. After four days below the rim, we emerged. The next day was a more relaxing tour of Hermit Road looking down at the tiny people hiking across the Tonto as we did before. Looked so much easier from a kilometre above!
This is a the Abyss, or at least the eastern wall of the Abyss. It's a massive rock wall enclosing Monument Creek's drainage. There's no in or out at the Abyss. You need to trek across the Tonto in hope of escape!
Taken at the end of the day Monday night. I can't believe I gave up Monday Night Football for this! We were busy snapping away after the sunset. Most of the tourists left as the sun set. You need to stay a few minutes longer to see the light like this. To top it all off, there was a (almost) full moon!
