Edeline Island
Western Australia is famous for its high quality pearls. Today, they are farmed and harvested by trained divers with suitable equipment. In the 19th century, the harvesting was much more draconian. Edeline Island has a small graveyard of pearl divers just behind its main beach. It is also home to some of the oddest and most interesting sandstone formations you'll see. The wind and tides have created a peculiar mix of rusted and exposed standstone walls. Some with holes that almost appear to be carved by humans.
