Dorothy
The near ghost-town of Dorothy is home to one of Alberta's most iconic wooden grain elevators. I've seen many great photographs of this elevator - it stands alone on the side of a small highway at the base of a steep hill entering the Red Deer River Valley in south eastern Alberta. The elevator doesn't look like it has much left in it. It lost its roof in a 2015 wind storm. (That information was added to the plaque visible on the elevator.) The red colour adds a lot of interest in the grassy landscape - especially as green now turns to yellow in Alberta's early fall season.
