Ladders to Tsusiat Falls Camp

Well, these looked like long ladders. I was glad we only needed to go down them and could continue the trek the next day by beach without climbing up. But then later in the trail, we found these were mid-size ladders!

The trail down to the beach is a bit further from the Tsusiat River bridge than I thought. It was far enough that I thought we had gone too far and missed a turn off. The West Coast Trail has fairly poor signage (other than the kilometer markers to show how far you've progressed and how close you are to landmarks on your map). Tsusiat is one place where there is a hiker sign with an arrow just getting off the bridge - the trail has grown over enough that there really is only one direction to go and the sign isn't necessary. But I understand in the past, there was what looked like a trail down the side of the Tsusiat River which took you to the top of the falls - you couldn't go any further and its certainly a dangerous drop off.
