Tsusiat Falls

Happy Waterfall Wednesday!

You may never see Tsuisiat Falls with so little water ever again. The creeks and rivers of the West Coast Trail were very low this year - it made them easy to cross. But it also made Tsusiat less spectacular than I've seen it in photos. Generally the whole rock face is covered in falling water - this year we have a little trickle. The falls form this pool and then a small river (which you can hop across instead of needing to wade across or build a bridge across). People use this pool for wading - as well as collecting drinking water. I'm not sure I like the combination. I tried to take my water from as close to the falls as I could. A few people even wanted to rinse out dishes in the pool - hey it's not like the Pacific Ocean is only a few metres away.
