Darling River Beach - Cloudy Evening
The beach walk between Michigan Creek and Darling River was very soft sand. Our first experience of feeling like we were putting in two or three times the effort to walk. On a nice sunny beach day, no one minds the extra effort. When travelling kilometre after kilometer with a 40-50 pound pack, it wears on you fast! At low tide, some firm areas appeared - but many times the sand under the tides were just as soft.
