This photo looks north from the Walbran Creek campsite. The creek is barely flowing and created a very nice reflection. Some people walked to the cable car to collect water where the creek flowed more. I didn't go so far in but my filter cleaned out anything bad! This interesting little cave really isn't accesible unless you'd like to wade into the creek. It looks dry enough in the cave that you could camp for the night! The next morning, the trekkers coming from the south were very excited to see a Bald Eagle in the tree to the left of the tupip-shaped tree (left side of photo). South of Walbran, the trail is not particularly interesting and is largely inland. There is one section along the beach that you can take if the tides work out for you but the tides need to be very low and for us that did not work. Those of us who had trekked into Walbran from the north had seen Bald Eagles for days and were less excited. But it is definately a treat to see them in the wild. Unfortunately, I'm not sure I could carry a 500 mm lens needed to photograph them on such a long trip!
